the new core 2 quad is 70 % faster than the core 2 duo 6800 extreme!!!

Intel said that the QX6700 will fit in at the US$999 price (for 1000 pieces!!!)

4* 2.67 ghz !!!! and you could overclock it to 3.00ghz or more :D


the Core 2 Quad Q6600, clocked at 2.4 GHz (like the E6600). The
rumoured price is $851, which is quite a bit more than a pair of E6600's

The core 2 quad is pricey ....

I saw his price around $ 1200-1300!!!!

maybe in 2 or 3 months the price will be around $1000($200-300 less )

some benchmark(with core 2 quad OC to 3.4 Ghz) show that It is better than 2 Xeon 5160 for chess !!!
